Curt Beyer
President
Curt brings extensive business and project management experience to ACQBUILT.
Curt was born and raised in Edmonton. He began his career journey as a mason where he learned the value of hard work and organizational skills. Through this experience, Curt also gained knowledge of lean principles relating to the movement of materials and human resources that would later prove critical to accomplishing sometimes lofty goals set out before him.
After 15 years of running his own masonry company, Curt opened a lumber mill which he sold three years later to Millar Western. This transitioned into a ten year career with the company as Vice President of Manufacturing. This role took him all over the world studying and looking for varied manufacturing facilities for Millar’s special projects and value added endeavors.
After a decade with Millar Western, Curt decided to return to his entrepreneurial roots and opened the Great Canadian Group of Companies, which specialized in roofing, siding, windows and renovations. The companies serviced the new construction market, as well as the renovation and insurance markets in five cities. These successful companies are now owned and operated by his five children and a few trusted partners.
In 2004, Curt along with Reza Nasseri, entered into a partnership to begin a journey that would result in ACQBUILT’s world class facility. The journey began in a 3,000 sq. ft. “hole in the wall” facility with 8 employees, and has grown over time to over 200 employees and a 150,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Curt’s greatest joy is leading ordinary people to do extraordinary things!
